Wordless Wednesday #8
Ok, so my theatre arts class is my favorite class, so I'm pretty excited about a play that we're going to be doing for the Christmas season. It's called "The Christmas Reunion", which means that it's just a big reunion...of Mother Goose and Christmasy characters. I guess the whole point of it is that all the characters are giving presents to Father Christmas, or whatever. I'm actually pretty excited, though because it is cute and..*drum roll*...I've been casted as Curly Locks! Didn't know too much about that nursery rhyme, but since I have curly hair, what the hey. But, I did google her and I guess the whole point of the rhyme is to show the beauty of curls. It's about some guy asking for her and she says no and that she just wants to eat strawberries and cream. Yep...I'd rather eat strawberries and cream too. But yeah, I'm happy-I have a cute vintage dress that's green; it would go great with my part. But hell, teach still wants all of us to pimp our lines up a bit, so it should be better. But anyway, I've been in one play before. It was a little hard, because I found myself giggling. But, the whole reason I took this class was to overcome my anxiety about people. I swear, I've had plenty of panic attacks just over talking to people, or being in places where there are alot of people. I remember one time, when I was going into the gas station and I literally freaked out! All I was getting was suckers! ARGHHH! But yeah, I promised myself that I would do my best in this class...I've done well. Sometimes, if I'm scared of getting up in front of people, I imagine that I'm a big time actress. It definitely helps! But yeah, I've done good...I got my report card today. Straight A's. I don't know why this started happening, but it really takes a load of stress off. That's for sure. I remember when I was a freshman(which seems eons ago)I got mostly B's and C's. I mean sure, screwing up that year has really lowered my GPA, but I'm happy that I'm doing better. I just didn't care. Now I do...mmm, my hair smells like strawberries and cream. Well, better get off of here before the teacher catches me.

Sooo...I visited my future college this weekend. I love that place...but you know what? I've changed my major once again. Now I really, really, really wanna get into journalism and media so that I can become a magazine editor. Imagine-I could be working for Vogue someday. Which I guess would fit me pretty well because I'm always being complimented on how I dress. Hey, it's not my fault that I don't dress like everyone else at school. I mean, if you try to compliment anyone else's clothes at school, you realize that you're complimenting most everybody!! Geez. Anyway, I went to the mall with one of my best friends, Kayla, and had tons of fun. Something we realized is that we can't go anywhere without drooling over guys. We have sooooo much fun guy watching. :) But yeah, I always go crazy in Claire's so that was no biggy, but Kohl's is now mine and Kayla's favorite store. Well, that particular Kohl's is. We went crazy! Seriously, it's a wonder that they didn't kick us out of the place! Dude, I could have been a fugitive! Woot! But yeah, seen a coat that I could have died for. It was $120.00!!! B freakin' S! I'm absolutely happy until i remember that I DON'T HAVE A FREAKIN' JOB!!!

Bet you didn't know that! Well, neither did I until the beautiful Hannah sent it to me via email. Gotta love her. Anyway, it's true, and I think that it's something that we, women that is, should really take to heart. We are actually really beautiful, each and everyone of us. I think someone(bad memory-sorry!) said it best...there are no ugly women just lazy ones. So if you do feel ugly, like I do sometimes(hey I can't be beautiful all of the time! just kidding! I'm really the least conceited person ever), then maybe you should do something to make yourself feel as beautiful as possible. Get your hair done...or buy a new pair of rockin' jeans...or you could even say something kind to someone. Yeah, i know it's cliche, but it's true that beauty really does come from within. I'm sure that we have all known someone who is so rude and psycho that the amount of makeup they wear or however much flesh they show really doesn't do them any good. Just keep that in mind...oh and here's some poetry. Hey i love poetry and it kinda goes with the theme, right?
~Beauty of a Woman~
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears,
The figure she carries, or the way she combs her hair.
The beauty of a woman must be seen from her eyes,
Because that is the doorway to her heart,
The place where love resides.
The beauty of a woman Is not in a facial mole,
But true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul.
It is the caring that she lovingly gives,
The passion that she shows.
The beauty of a woman
With passing years -- only grows.

Soo...I haven't posted on here in a few days. Sorry! It's just so easy to get sidetracked. Which is crazy, because I really don't have that much of a life. But, I went to the library yesterday, which was uber exciting because I finally got to get a book that I wanted!! YAY! See, we had to read a book for english class and we could only pick from a list with certain books on it. Not that I didn't enjoy the book I read! The Loved One by Evelyn Waugh...good book, if you like dry humor surrounding a love triangle between a poser poet, a funeral instructor, and a cosmetician for dead people. But, it was a great read but I did find myself racing through it because i am quite obsessed with these one books. They are the Hannah Swenson mysteries and they all are titled after a certain dessert, like Cherry Cheesecake Murder or Lemon Meringue Pie Murder(which is the one that I got at the library yesterday) and there are recipes throughout the books. They are just really sweet reads and I haven't been able to read them for a while. So now I'm really happy. :) But yeah, I also got this other book...with college tips and stuff. And, just so you know, I'm pretty serious about going to college and doing my best there and all that crap. Well there's this list in this college book and it's a whole list of books that college people expect you to have already read by time you get to college. It's a list of, like, 100 books or so and I've only read maybe 7 of them. Seriously, I don't even know where i would have ever found the time to read so many books-especially since I spend my time reading other books...like mystery food books! -but I think I'm gonna try to read some of them. I really am, but that is when I'm done reading all of these mysteries! Yum!!!
